Here, the Peeps are again in the form of the popular television show “Jersey Shore.” It premiered on MTV in 2009 and quickly became a cultural phenomenon. It followed a group of young adults living together in a beach house in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, as they partied and drank.
It was, however, criticized for promoting a negative image of Italian-Americans and for its heavy reliance on alcohol-fueled drama. Still, it was also praised for its entertainment value and the unique personalities of its cast members.
