Unscripted Lines That Changed The Outcome Of These Movies
“I’ve Always Wanted A Man Like Tom Hanks” – How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Who doesn’t want a man like Tom Hanks? No wonder Kate Hudson couldn’t help but include that detail in her scripts, especially since the movie director of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days had already encouraged a lot of improvisation onscreen.
In the scene, Andre Anderson (Kate Hudson) and Matthew McConaughey (Benjamin Barry) had gone to watch the movie Sleepless in Seattle together, featuring the incredible Tom Hanks. On impulse, Kate drops the line, “I’ve always wanted a man like Tom Hanks.” Thank goodness for improvisation – and Tom Hanks.
