A Missed Moment – Citizen Kane
Cinema lovers still regard Citizen Kane as one of the most revolutionary masterpieces ever to come out of Hollywood. Even today, the film is recommended for viewing for film enthusiasts. There was an interesting back story to it, and it involved Norman Lloyd.
Norman was a popular theater actor who was cast in a film called Heart of Darkness which was canceled due to budget limitations, but the film director requested the cast to stay while he cooked up another project. Norman decided to go home, however, and this cost him a part in Citizen Kane.
