Even if you’re a pro at the game of charades, we highly doubt that you would ever have figured what Meg Ryan had drawn on the board. For us, no matter how much time we were given, we wouldn’t have gotten it right, but, in the actress’s defense, she was told by the director to draw whatever came to her mind.
Also, just like the illustration, baby talk isn’t one of the languages that’s easy to make sense of. With so many improvisations in this movie, it’s hard to distinguish between the scripted parts and the spontaneous moments, and in our opinion, that’s what makes for beautiful art.
