Unscripted Lines That Changed The Outcome Of These Movies
“The Horror” – Apocalypse Now
Apocalypse Now the creative love child of director Francis Ford Coppola and Marlon Brando, was born in 1979. It is heralded as one of the best Vietnam War-themed movies. To Coppola’s dismay, Marlon put up a little bit of extra weight, which did not suit the character at all.
Francis tried to conceal his chubby body by shooting most scenes in close-ups. Still, Marlon made up by improvising a lot of his lines, including the iconic phrase “the horror,” which he whispered exasperatedly. His acting skills and improvisation elevated the movie to classic levels.
