Unscripted Lines That Changed The Outcome Of These Movies

“Leave The G*. Take The Cannoli” – The Godfather*

In one of the most vicious scenes in the movie, the character of Peter Clemenza played by Richard Castellano decides to calmly take a box of cannoli home with a man passed away in a car in front of him. This brutality is what The Godfather is all about. The characters are so casual about the sinister ongoings that it is nerve-wracking to watch.

But this snapper of a line was not in the script; it was improvised by Castellano. The original line was just a banal “leave the g**”. This creativity is a mark of genius and the director was smart enough to approve of it.
