A Shell of Freedom: Man Selflessly Frees Turtle

Seeing a turtle in the flesh is overwhelming but witnessing one with a lot of things attached to the shell is heartbreaking. Once this guy spotted one while out in the ocean, he carefully removed them.

Ocean Fauna notes barnacles are tiny crustaceans that latch onto turtles, but they generally don’t harm them. These sticky creatures only attach themselves to the outer layer of the turtle’s shell. It impedes a turtle’s swimming ability if they gather in large numbers, making it difficult for the turtle to move due to their weight.
