Stuff That Is Normal In Movies, But Make Absolutely No Sense In Real Life
Bombs of Convenience
Nothing gives an action flick some flavor like a critical bomb countdown. Sadly, real-life bombs are not this cool, nor this conveniently timed.
“Surprisingly” enough, real-life terrorists and criminals don’t set their bombs up with nice timers featuring LED display screens and a worryingly loud beep sound. Instead, they conceal their bombs to the best of their ability. They don’t add a timer either because they’re not stupid. But in pretty much every Michael Bay movie or ’80s action classic, bombs always need to come with a convenient timer. We guess that’s how you know they’re never going to explode.
What’s even more incredible is that our action heroes always get the bomb off 1 second before it explodes and blows everybody to pieces. How? Because the criminals always include some sort of colored wire that’s meant to jeopardize their entire evil plan if cut.
