This tweet is ample proof that grammar lessons are important. The Twitter user @RealestWalkin made a grammatical error and became famous for it. We all make mistakes in spelling, and homophones are easy to mix up. If we’re being honest, Missouri does sound like misery. This lady erroneously interchanged those words when she wanted to tweet, “Misery loves company.”
As a nod to the wordplay, Ringo Starr has a 2003-released song named “Missouri Loves Company.” Interestingly, there’s a 2020 movie with the same name. And you can tell it makes a perfect dad joke for fathers who decide to entertain their families. “What city loves company?” Missouri loves company.” Score!
