While childhood is a time of curiosity and finding new things, Alyssa’s curiosity was fed by space life, which at the time seemed like a kid’s babbling. Her curiosity about space was sparked by an episode of the animated family series, “The Backyardigans,” which aired between 2004 and 2010.
The episode featured a crew of barnyard animals on a space adventure to Mars. Her dream for Mars had already begun as she went on to talk to her father, Bert, about it.
