The dysfunctional titular family in “The Simpsons” wouldn’t be complete without Bart. The show’s creator, Matt Groening, used his family members’ names for the characters and would use Bart to replace his moniker.
More interestingly, Bart isn’t actually voiced by a boy or a man but rather by a woman named Nancy Cartwright. In one sequence in season 2, the character wrote, “I am not a 32-year-old woman,” but in reality, this revealed the voice actress’ age at the time.
