The Logic Of A Tape Measure
Everyone knows that a tape measure is a valuable tool not just in sewing but also in construction. As the name suggests, it meant to find accurate measurements, but even with the obvious purpose, not many probably took a closer look at the design.
The metal stub has a small hole, so the user can hang this on a nail while measuring. This way, another hand will not be needed when doing DIY tasks. Other people would use this as a hook to the edge of the material they are measuring, but this isn’t always safe because it could snap back to the container.
