Mic Or Camera?

iPhone owners may have noticed the additional tiny dot near their smartphones’ cameras. This feature was first introduced in 2013 with Apple’s iPhone 5S, and in the previous models, the small black hole was located on the right side of the cam.

This indentation is a small mic meant to record the sound bite from the same direction the lens is pointing when recording a video. This way, most sounds are captured by the mics near the lens and the top and bottom.
