From Modest to Flashy: A Quick Look at the Houses of Some of America’s Most Famous People
Jackie Collins – Beverly Hills ($30 Million)
You’d be hard-pressed to find a Jackie Collins novel that hasn’t appeared on The New York Times bestseller list. And with over 500 million copies sold globally, Collins ranks as one of the most notable novelists in the world. Before her death in 2015, Collins owned a modern estate in Beverly Hills.
The design of the house was reportedly inspired by “A Bigger Splash,” a pop painting by David Hockney. And its impressive stats include 21,784-square-feet of space, eight bedrooms, and a 100-foot-long gallery hall that connects the main property to a guest house. In 2021, Laura Fairrie directed the documentary film “Lady Boss,” based on Collins’ life and career.
