Girl Power? Mansplaining at work is 40 times more common than you think

A Tad Too Helpful

Deciding to be a good big sister backfired for the woman in our following anecdote. Taking her brother’s computer to the campus IT team, she encountered a work-study student who mansplained what she already knew about the Internet connection problems her brother had.

Worse, he felt the need to “help” her use her phone even though she didn’t need assistance at all. As if teaching a kid, he went as far as to guide her finger to press the home button to unlock her device! Fortunately, the actual IT guy returned in time to solve her issues and for the work-study to be proven wrong.
