Those who are using oil-based products need to be all the more careful about the storage and expiration dates of the items. As time goes by, the oil separates from the other chemicals in the product turning the makeup into an oily slur of goo.
This social media user was about to use an eye-shadow primer from the brand Benefit, then the importance of expiration date on makeup products dawned upon them. Upon squeezing the tube, all that came out was half a blob of pigment and half a blob of orange oil, completely separate from each other with a horrible smell!
