As one of the biggest musicians in the world, Elton John has been admirably open about his orientation for the longest time. In 1976, the “Rocketman” hitmaker announced that he was attracted to both men and women before saying he was “comfortable being gay” more than a decade later.
John has since been an LGBTQ advocate. In 2019, he encouraged struggling kids from the spectrum, to be proud of who they are. At the same time, the Grammy winner acknowledged that he was privileged when he came out to the industry.
