“The Matrix” wouldn’t have hit the theaters if it weren’t for the brilliant Wachowski siblings. But as much as they were the brains behind the franchise, they admitted that not everyone figured out the meaning behind the films.
Lilly revealed that it was an allegro for transgender but they didn’t reveal the truth in the late ’90s because they believed that the market wasn’t ready for it. She came out as trans in 2016 but not by her own will. Her sister, Lana, revealed the truth four years earlier.
