When Grammy winner Ariana Grande released the song “Monopoly,” which bore the lyrics “I like women and men,” she came under fire and was accused of queer baiting. However, the singer explained that she had not labeled herself and wasn’t ready to do so as well at the time.
Since then, Grande has become one of the staunchest allies of the LGBTQ community, even writing a love letter for them during Pride Month. In 2019, she also defended them after a person held a discriminatory sign during her concert.
