Janelle Monáe, who gained waves for her debut album “The ArchAndroid,” is also a member of the LGBTQ community. While she let her fans understand that she is flexible when it comes to the genre she performs, she also announced that she is non-binary in April 2022.
In 2018, Monáe shared that she didn’t look at a person based on their orientation but rather their energy. In a “Red Table Talk” interview, the singer noted how she doesn’t look at how people identify themselves but rather how beautiful their spirit is.
