Long-sleeved t-shirts, rubber boots, and knee socks were common attire. Some people had negative connotations when they heard the name “Nagomu Gal,” seeing them as irritating fangirls. The “Nagomu” record label went out of business in 1989, and the trend ultimately died with it.
