It seems thoroughly unreal that robbers can leave hurriedly without executing the robbery because a little girl taught them. Obviously, before making the evil plan to loot the bank, they were well aware that it is immoral to steal. And the other point is they must have been planning this robbery for months, and no one likes to waste their hard work and planning.
Robbers can be tamed by police and strict punishments by the court only and not by the moral lessons from the hostages. Dreadfully, in 1972, United California Bank was robbed of $9 million, which is $58 million today.
