Good Friday may be the most exciting day before Easter. You might even be tempted to wear your dancing shoes and go wild. But if you’re in Germany, hold that thought. Although it seems kind of strange, dancing in public on Good Friday is forbidden.
Dancing is prohibited on some religious festivals known as “silent days” to cultivate a reflective mindset. Many would rather go out in honor of Christ while adhering to religious laws such as refraining from meat.
