Victor Kiam Sued for Physical Harassment

Following a locker room incident in September 1990, sports journalist Lisa Olson sued the New England Patriots owner, Victor Kiam. Along with Kiam, a suit was also filed against Patrick Sullivan (the former General Manager), James Oldham (former media services director), and three players (Michael Timpson, Robert Perryman, and Zeke Mowatt).

Olson claimed she had acute emotional distress after the incident. Paul Tagliabue, the then-NFL commissioner, issued a total fine of $72,500 to the team management and all three players. Kiam apologized to Olson later on.
