Peter Warrick and Laveranues Coles Were Arrested for Stealing Shoes

Bobby Bowden coached the Florida State Seminoles to their first national championship title win in 1993. They won against the Nebraska Cornhuskers who were placed right behind them. However, the next spring brought with it a piece of bad news as Sports Illustrated claimed the Seminoles’ title win was tainted.

Some agents allegedly gifted shoes worth $6,000 to several players from the team. Later on, Peter Warrick and Laveranues Coles were found guilty of shelling out only one-twentieth of the actual cost of shoes.
