The Declan Sullivan Tragedy
When the Notre Dame football players took the field for practice on a Wednesday in October 2010, the mood was gloomy. It was hard to believe that Declan Sullivan was no more. The 20-year-old Illinois native lost his life when the tower he had climbed up on to film the team’s practice fell over into the neighborhood street.
No one knew who permitted him to film from that spot especially when winds were blowing at 40 miles per hour. This incident reflected the recklessness of the university.
