Harvey McDougle Indicted for Match Fixing

Harvey McDougle played as a running back for the Toledo Rockets, the football program of the University of Toledo, during the 2004 to 2005 season. It was during that time McDougle was accused of being involved in a points-shaving scandal.

He was reported to have taken cash and in-kind benefits from two gamblers for convincing Toledo basketball and football players to underperform. Surprisingly, he never changed his scores. After his death at the age of 37, his father claimed that McDougle fell prey to the system.
