Paul Hornung and Alex Karras were Suspended for Betting

Paul Hornung played as a running back for Green Bay Packers from 1957 to 1966. The Hall of Famer helped the team win the first edition of the Super Bowl. Alex Karras played as a defensive tackle for the NFL side, Detroit Lions from 1958 to 1970 and was a part of the Pro Bowl four times.

Hornung and Karras faced indefinite suspension for putting their money on NFL games from Pete Rozelle, the NFL commissioner in 1963. However, both of them were reinstated one year later.
